Turnkey Solutions

You experience our test & measurement solutions daily

Every day, each of us uses dozens of products that we trust blindly and the quality of which we do not question. We expect ever-higher quality but are not consciously aware that achieving it requires a complex interplay of inspection, testing, measurement and assembly.

Example inspection

A product's image is determined by exterior specifications. Inspection is necessary to ensure that every product complies with those specifications. Examples include product packaging, which is checked continuously during the production process: for shape, closure, label, filling, colour and possible damage. A visual inspection system is used for this purpose.

Example Testing & Measuring

Testing and measuring products improves reliability and gives insight into their behaviour under specific conditions. The measurement of variables of a compressor under variable conditions is a good example: vibrations, pressure, temperature, efficiency, as well as noise. With the help of these measurement data, an analysis can be made, leading to recommendations for improving the design of the compressor. Control systems can be used to validate the performance of a compressor under different operating conditions.

Example Precision Assembly

Printing photographs or posters is done by placing billions of minuscule ink droplets next to one another with extreme precision. To do that, print heads are used that are composed of many precision parts. To achieve perfect alignment, it is important for those components to be placed extremely precisely onto one another and locked in place. That is done with specially designed assembly machines, combined with testing and measurement techniques.

Measurement system for NMBS - re-profiling train carriage wheels with 3D profile scanners

We developed a measurement system for the national transport company NMBS with which train carriage wheels can be re-profiled in an efficient manner. The reason for this development was the less reliable measurement results obtained previously by measuring the wheel profile with a spot laser.
